This cycle path was laid out on an old disused railway line. This makes it very flat and now well tarred. The beautiful bike path away from the road tempted you to be carefree, but be careful, the road crosses every now and then.

In October 2017, construction began on the extension of the existing path by 1.3 km to Mittelbach, which could be completed in July 2018. Construction of the northern section to Wüstenbrand has not yet begun. [October 2017]
