The views from up here are gorgeous, and it’s a nice bypass of a fairly busy bit of road, in season. It does go through a working forestry area so stay out of the way of people working as you go through, and say hi!
There are some larger stones loose on the surface, it’s very rideable on 2” tyres and would be fine on a gravel bike. Steep in places but very much worth it. All the streams are bridged or run through a culvert, no crossings to worry about.
It might be a bit tricky for young children, but the more “determined” would make it!!
Keep an eye out for Golden Eagles… not many people over the top so you might see one quite close up.
