Various frescoes and works embellish the Sanctuary:
the walls were frescoed by Giovanni Rodigari from Nembra in 1913
On the pillars on the left two frescoes of the Madonna and Child are visible, one of which is dated 1512
then there was a Pietà, traditionally attributed to Giovan Battista Moroni, unfortunately recently stolen
painted on the wall, respectively on the left and right, are the figures of S. Donato and S. Francesco
higher up Virgin of the Annunciation and Announcing Angel by Francesco Cavagna (ca. 1580-1630)
also by the same painter is the Visitation on the wall to the left of the small niche in which the altar is placed
frontally there is the flight into Egypt of Francesco Muzio, a 17th century painter
on the main altar a Pietà, called Our Lady of Sorrows, by an unknown artist from the Bergamo area, dated 1533
on the sides of the apse, plaster and stucco statues representing the prophets Zechariah and Isaiah, works from 1682 by the Ticino sculptors Sala
in the adjacent rooms of the sacristy several paintings by unknown artists from the 1600s and 1700s and some more recent ones
among these also the Nativity of Enea Salmeggia known as Talpino, currently undergoing restoration
