A very special highlight for the cyclist is the bicycle pavilion, which was completed in 2014 and is located directly on the cycle path R7 in Schenklengsfeld. From here you can use the bike path towards Hohenroda after passing through the village. The pavilion not only offers a pleasant resting place, but above all, information about the cycle route network of Hesse and the importance of the cycle path, which is part of the network of the Deutschlandradweg.
Schenklengsfeld is especially proud of the Solztalradweg. It is a cycle path between Bad Hersfeld on the Fulda and Philippstal on the Werra. With a few exceptions, the first 15 kilometers run along the former railway line of the Hersfelder Kreisbahn in the Solztal valley to Schenklengsfeld.
