Barca d'Alva railway station, located in the Portuguese town of Barca d'Alva, in the municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, was inaugurated on December 9, 1887. This station used to be the end point of the Douro line and served as a border station between Portugal and Spain, connecting with the La Fuente de San Esteban-Barca de Alba line.
Unfortunately, the station was closed in 1988 and is currently abandoned. Despite its current state, it remains a place of historical and architectural interest, surrounded by beautiful landscapes of vineyards and orange groves along the Douro River.
