The ILE * Freizeitstempelstelle 14 "Bahnhof Börßum" is located opposite the historic train station. It is freely accessible. Currently (05-2021) unfortunately the stamp plate is missing.

Centrally located in the old historical train station is the administration of the Oderwald municipality. It is the smallest joint municipality in the Wolfenbüttel district.
As of September 30, 2018, 6,815 residents were registered in the Oderwald municipality.
It consists of 6 communities with 11 districts and the area of the combined community area is 89.02 km² and consists of the member communities:
- Börßum with the districts Achim, Börßum, Bornum, Kalme and Seinstedt
- Cramme

- Heiningen
- Ohrum

In the course of the extension of the route, first to Schladen and later to Bad Harzburg, Börß received a stop at Börßumer Mühle in 1840. With the opening of the long-distance Brunswick southern railway line Börßum-Kreiensen in 1856, the Börßum station was relocated to its present location as a branch station
