    Located at the top of the hill that bears the same name within the Sierra de Marina Park, the Iberian town of Puig Castellar constitutes an emblematic symbol and identity for Santa Coloma.

    At 303 m high and with a surface area slightly greater than 4,000 m2, the magnificent conditions of defense and control of the territory do not lead one to think that it must have been an important town. This location allowed vision and communication with nearby settlements, since it controlled an important stretch of the coastline, the mouth of the Besós, the Barcelona plain and the passage inland, towards Vallés.
