St. Mary's Church in Wesenberg is a significant example of North German brick and granite Gothic architecture. It was built from around 1300 onwards and is located on a hill southwest of the market square. The original structure includes the single-nave choir and ashlar tower, while the nave with its cross-ribbed vault was added towards the end of the 14th to the beginning of the 15th century. At the end of the 15th century, the choir received a star vault. A two-story brick porch is located on the south side of the church.
