Simple guarded shelter located in the village of Albarca, in the Priorat, with more than twenty places to spend the night, distributed in several bunk beds with mattresses and blankets, among other facilities. It is located in the city center.
The refuge was originally located in an old farmhouse in the village acquired and converted by the Mountain Hiking Group until closing in 1975 due to deterioration. The current building, inaugurated in 1983, was built by the Center Excursionista Tarragona.
The space is divided between a large living room with terrace, two bathrooms and a bedroom with bunk beds for twenty-four people, and has electricity and hot water.
Although it has no telephone or radio station, the shelter is well connected within the town of Albarca. It also offers free kitchen and meals (with prior reservation), area information and guidance.
From this point you can start the ascent to Roca Corbatera, 1166 meters above sea level.
