                  Beach and history lovers alike will get their money's worth here. The beach in front of the village of Sant Martí d'Empúries is one of the most beautiful on the Costa Brava. The place itself is wonderfully cozy and it is worth strolling through the streets. Here or there you can stop for a tapa or a café. The ruins of the first Greek colony in what is now Spain can also be seen a little south of the town.
