Qinglong Lake reservoir project has a total area of approximately 10400
" acres, its design intention is creating an urban ecological lake sample which
combines the form, business, culture & ecology together.
Based on its regional excellent ecological background, natural landscape
and historical human landscape resource, the first stage construction followed
the principle of eco-first, human landscape conservation, dynamic & static area
division and human-landscape interaction, carefully divided out static
conservation area and dynamic area. By different design approaches such as
reorganizing water runoff, enhancing traffic system, building gardens &
infrastructures and planting trees, we try to create an eco-cultural scenic region
with human & nature harmony. In this region, the static area takes about 2400
acres, which is 51 % of the first stage project . It aimed at rare birds
"protection
providing relative independent of ecological living space for wildlife and wild
plants. The dynamic area is divided into the entrance area, the LOHAS bankside
area and the historical area. We organized multiple pedestrian systems to use
the surrounding landscape to set up 9 unique scenery spots. The liaison
between these two big areas are based on 12 kilometers-long main road which
is constructed from the existing roads. By this way the ecological and humanism
landscape can become a perfect blend. Another high light of this first stage
landscape is abundant four season characteristic plants which form diverse
color layers along the bankside. We planted 5,000 cherry blossom trees and
3.600 color-leaf trees to meet the needs of spring flower enjoying and autumn
color-leaf enjoying. After its completion, this lake will definitely be a place of
interest for citizen waterfront recreation, ecological education and vacation.
