It is the most important monument of Serra Calderona, it is located in the center of the Lullén valley. The Cartuja de Porta Coeli was the first monastery of the order founded in Valencian lands in 1272 and was built on the remains of an old Andalusian settlement.
Originally built in the Gothic style, throughout its history it was reformed according to the architectural styles of each era: Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque and Neoclassical. Attached to the charterhouse there is a Gothic aqueduct from the 15th century made up of twelve arches. The monastery is divided into two well-differentiated areas: the enclosure and the obediences, following the schemes of a medieval charterhouse and which has remained to this day, even without the possibility of visiting.
