This tower, well preserved in the center of the town of Cherasco, is of community origin: it was in fact born as a municipal tower. Built in a fairly late period, already in the fifteenth century, it nevertheless still has characteristics that recall those of the previous century: tall, slender, in masonry, it rests on four slightly pointed arches, divided by solid sloping pylons which support the whole building. Given its function and also its importance, it has come down to us without notable alterations, and also in good maintenance conditions.

Naturally, despite having the typical appearance of a fortified building, it is not a real fortification, but rather a symbol of dominion and autonomy, which has taken on the usual aspect of the element of medieval prestige, i.e. that of a tower.
