Two historic freight wagons were placed near the Kamp Vught museum at the end of February 2022, on the former route of the camp railway. The wagons (type 'Oppeln') also represent the many penetrating stories that can be told at this place.

War wagons to Camp Vught: 'Eighty people, three days in a room'

Two freight wagons that were used during the war years can be seen in the National Monument Camp Vught. The wagons are of the type that were used during the Second World War to transport prisoners. Director Jeroen van den Eijnde of Camp Vught: "After very careful research, we know for sure that they are wagons that ran on German tracks during the war years. We just don't know for sure whether these wagons in particular were also used to transport prisoners."
