The pumping station was shut down as part of the renaturation of the glacial valley and the Buschgraben (Rietze). It served to regulate the water in the course of melioration, which should enable better farming on the wet meadows. The management of the FFH area "Glashütte-Mochheide" is again mapping otters, kingfishers, rare bats and the large Heldbock. In addition to the wet locations, there are also dune areas of great ecological value.
