The trail runs through the pine forest and reaches the exclusive forest of Cerro de los Álamos Blancos. In autumn, the small alameda is dyed yellow and orange while the leaves wither and stands out in the sober vegetal hood of the pine forest. At the entrance of the hill there are remains of a military post from the Civil War, with walls, trenches and the ruins of a watchtower. The white poplar is also known as white poplar, it is abundant in many Spanish provinces and can reach thirty meters in height. The Celestial Druids associated the fresh buds and stems of the poplar with fortune and astral travel. The mature leaves are dark green on the upper side and bright white on the underside, creating a characteristic play of bright tones in summer, when the wind stirs the mountain poplar trees.
