The Jarosa reservoir dam was built in 1968 to collect water from all the ravines in the valley. The artificial lake has a maximum capacity of seven million cubic meters and creates a beautiful recreational space in the western sector of the Sierra de Guadarrama. The reservoir is surrounded by a protective fence to prevent cattle from drinking in the swamp. Visitors can access the water's edge on foot through gates set up for fishermen.
