The Antonius chapel, built in 1763/1764 and well-known beyond the local borders, is the only pilgrimage chapel in the Acherntal.
She is the third of her kind at this point. The first chapel probably existed as early as 1700, when, according to legend, pigs looking for food in the neighboring acorn garden unearthed the small figure of Saint Anthony above today's tabernacle of the high altar. The shepherds interpreted this as a divine sign and built a small chapel. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary in 1964, the Antonius fountain below the chapel was erected.

Beautiful hiking area. Great infrastructure for hikers and mountain bikers. The Black Forest and in particular the Ortenau district are very diverse. Since I don't take a photo of every bench or bush along the way, I'll include a photo collage of my photos from the region.
