In the direction of Schleusenpark Waltrop from Dortmund, it is the last opportunity for cyclists to make a turn back uphill towards Dortmund without carrying the bike - the Oberwieser Bridge. On both sides of the canal, at operating kilometers 13,335, you can change to the side of the water without stairs, even with a child trailer, via the Lohburger Straße and Am Felling municipal roads or via an access road. The bridge, built in 1961, has a span of 49.00 meters and a width of 5.30 meters and is operated by the WSA Duisburg-Meiderich. Just a few meters away is the Niermann farm with its farm shops (said to be a real insider tip for shopping for strawberries and asparagus) and a farmer's parlour.
