Pressure bridge (on the Dortmund-Ems Canal near Waltrop-Brockenscheidt)

With a span of 57.03 meters, the 16.37 meter wide pressure bridge leads Mengeder Straße (L609) over the Dortmund-Ems Canal at operating kilometers 8.821. The arched steel bridge was built in 1986 and is operated by the WSA Duisburg-Meiderich with bridge number 11.

Here it is not possible to change the side of the water directly without climbing stairs. You can take a detour via “Auf dem Heiken”, “Mengeder Straße” (L609) and “Im Dicken Dören”.

The pressure bridge over the Dortmund-Ems Canal near Waltrop-Brockenscheidt, built in 1986, is an arch-shaped steel bridge with a span of 57.03 meters and a width of 16.37 meters. It carries the Mengeder Road (L609) over the canal at operating kilometer 8,821 and is popular with cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. Changing the side of the water without climbing stairs is not directly possible at this point.
