Set in lush forest surroundings on the banks of the Wilson River, the Tillamook Forest Center is a wonderful place to start a hike and learn about the area. With interpretive boards, a theater and a lookout tower, there's plenty to do at the center itself before you even hit the trails. You can cross the suspension bridge to reach the trails and explore the stunning forests and riverside routes that fan out from here.
There's parking, a gift shop and a picnic area. Check opening times and bear in mind that the parking lot closes when the center does.
