The giant culture is one of the oldest traditions in Flanders. Sint-Truiden has no fewer than seven full-fledged giants. This was chosen as the new signboard of this proud fruit region. They embody the uniqueness of the region and are completely intertwined with fruit cultivation. The giants therefore bear names that refer to different types of fruit: apple, pear, cherry or strawberry. Several giant chairs are scattered throughout the Cicindria walking route. With this campaign we bring the fruit giants to life at various beautiful spots along the hiking trail. A QR code is hidden somewhere on every seat. When this code is found and scanned, a movie of this chair plays where a 3D animated giant on or next to the chair addresses the children. Each giant has its own character. Based on this, the giant gives an assignment to the children. They have to do this on their way to the next giant chair. The last giant asks them to take a selfie, after which all the giants appear behind them and pose for the photo.
