Land Art: Nature as an Art Space
Land Art utilizes natural materials from the surrounding area, which are left to the forces of nature and decay. In this way, artworks merge with their environment, become part of nature, and ultimately return to it.
The internationally active artist Hama Lohrmann created nine artworks in the Augsburg-Western Woods Nature Park, near Bonstetten (86456).
These works are connected by the Bonstetten Land Art Trail, a 6 km circular route through hilly terrain. The trail begins and ends in the village of Bonstetten.
