Slenaken is a beautiful little town on the border with Belgium. Restaurants and a variety of accommodation (B&B, hotels) are available. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling.

Picturesque Slenaken is located in the middle of the Gulp Valley and close to the Belgian border. Half-timbered farms and winding roads give that ultimate foreign feeling. In one of the two sharp bends you turn off in front of the St. Remigius Church, which the Maiden proudly stands for. Furthermore, there are many chapels and other forms of devotion in traditional Slenaken.
The area around Slenaken is also called the Garden of the Heuvelland. Here nature, peace and space alternate with the most beautiful views over the hills. Characteristic elements in the landscape, such as sunken roads and crossroads, make it typical South Limburg.
