In Moresnet-Village, the Gulptal Viaduct, one of the longest European railway viaducts, spans the valley of the Göhl with a length of 1120 m and a height of up to 58 m. It was built in 1916 when the site was occupied by the troops of the Imperial German Reich was occupied.

The Maastricht - Vaals tram line is a disappeared steam tram line in the Heuvelland in the Dutch province of Limburg. The line connected Maastricht and Vaals via Gulpen and Wijlre between 1922/1925 and 1938. The line had a length of 28 kilometers and was constructed in standard gauge. Due to the height differences, some structures had to be built. The largest of these was the Gulpdal viaduct, seventeen meters high
