The path that leads to the Grand Ballon is absolutely essential. First for its destination, but above all for the variety of landscapes you cross: dense forests, ridge paths, balconies. Pure hiking as we like it!

The Belchenkopfwand is about halfway down the trail between Ferme Auberge Du Haag and the Grand Ballon. The Source du Rennenbach is also very close by.

You can see an Old Farm nearby between the balloon farm and the Gustiberg. I came to eat marcaire dishes they were prepared instantly by a nice lady. After his death no one inherited to take care of the place the farm is abandoned.

Rocky trail between the Grand Ballon (Big Belchen - 1424 m) and the Ferme Auberge du Haag mountain inn (1232 m). Except for a small piece through a very beautiful beech forest, there are great views. It also leads directly past the Belchenkopfwand. Nearby is also the Source du Rennenbach.
