Ripchet is a village located in the Tsum Valley of Northern Gorkha District on a huge mountain terrace high above the Shyar Khola River at an altitude of 2,470 m. We visited the village in 1992 on the way to the upper Tsum Valley. It is a place, we will always keep in our memories, and we will never forget. In 2015, an earthquake destroyed the village. The village has been rebuilt and in 2021 the Tsum Ripchet Mankhang Gonpa was consecrated.
