Cycled around the Lago on September 19. Recommended! Mostly flat on gravel roads. Total max 60 km. Beautiful!

Cycling around the lake is beautiful especially in the early morning. Visit castiglione del Lago or Panicale definitely worth it. You can eat delicious food there

It is a beautiful village located on a promontory on the western shore of Lake Trasimeno. Already inhabited in Etruscan times and then by the Romans (when it was called Clusium Novum, meaning new Chiusi), it owes its name to the construction of the Lion Castle in the mid-1200s. In 1914 the seaplane base was built, which later became the site of the Royal Air Force fighter school. It is pleasant to get there from the cycle path, central to Arezzo, Cortona, Perugia, Chiusi. Beautiful roads for cycling, of various types.
