A beautiful and crystal clear lake!

The Tankumsee is an artificial lake that was created in 1970 when the Elbe Lateral Canal was built. It has been a bathing lake since 1976. It has a sandy beach about 1 km long.

Tankumsee is an artificial lake in Isenbüttel, in the district of Gifhorn. It was created around 1970 as a gravel pit during the construction of the Elbe Lateral Canal and was opened as a bathing lake in 1976.
