Mighty, massive and one of the absolute highlights of Petra. Even though the path to the monastery is full of steps and strenuous, it is worth it. The sandstone building Ad Deir is one of the largest structures in Jordan's rock city, is exceptionally well preserved and simply impressive.

Is not as crowded as the treasury. But at least as impressive. From there it goes to two viewpoints from which can be overlooked from the canyon. Very nice.
