A beautiful wooden tower with a narrow spiral staircase, it can accommodate a maximum of four people at a time. During the week and in bad weather, you won't have to wait long.

The view is really great, BUT there is a lot going on there. Only four people can always be on top at the same time. Thus, not necessarily recommended on the weekend. We had faith well over an hour waiting :(

Nice goal for your hike on top of the hill. Can be a little bussy as it is one of the local highlights and also reachable by car.

Beautiful vantage point with many different types of trails you can take to this tower. He is also accessible by car. Therefore, it can come to the tower itself to a queue. There are only 4 people at the same time on the tower. As the stairs and the platform is very narrow. But the view over Gerardmer is worthwhile

As already mentioned several times, there can be long waiting times for the climb, as a maximum of 4 people are allowed on the tower. To be honest, I'm used to higher observation towers. This one, with 85 steps, is rather small in my opinion. More information at visitgrandest.com/tour-de-merelle

Narrow stairs up. So oncoming traffic can't pass. Also because there are no platforms along the way to pass each other. Once you reach the top, you'll never get tired of looking around. I read that people sometimes have to wait in line for an hour. I was there on Monday, September 15th, at 6:00 PM. Absolutely no one was there except me. Lucky me. :-))

Narrow stairs. So hopefully there's no oncoming traffic. There's no platform or anything to pass. The view from the top is truly phenomenal. Definitely worth taking this little detour. Unless you're afraid of heights, of course.
