The knight seat Groß-Winkelhausen, also called "Sonnenhof", is mentioned for the first time in the 12th century. It is located on a bend in the Angerbach, hence the name. The portal with the alliance coat of arms of the Winkelhausen and Waldbott von Bassenheim families is interesting.
