The showpiece of Erpekom has been in the Bokrijk Open Air Museum since 1960. The village church of Erpekom, dedicated to Saint Hubertus, was replaced by a new, modern brick hall church, also dedicated to Saint Hubertus. The original early Romanesque church dates back to the 9th century at the earliest and was partly built from Maas pebbles. The nave was enlarged in the 13th century and the choir was also renovated in that period. In the 16th century, a late Gothic brick tower was added to the building. The church contains a mural that probably depicts the patron saint Hubertus. Furthermore, the tower contains a tree trunk case with heavy iron fittings. In 2011, a monument was erected to commemorate the relocation of the old church. It is a cross of glass plates on which an image of the old church has been applied using screen printing techniques. The monument also contains a church bell, which, however, does not come from the old church, but from the dismantled church of the Erperheide bungalow park.
