In memory of the Eilbek Latsch-ins 1976-1986, 2007:
The bronze group at the corner of Wandsbeker Chaussee and Kantstraße stands directly on the grounds of the Eilbek Easter Church. The finger of the bronze statue points toward the Ruckteschellheim, whose construction was financed by the Latsch-ins idea.
The name "Latsch-in" originally came from Peter Jordan, a quick-witted Spiegel editor who was church warden in 1968.
The name for an ingenious campaign was born.
The bronze statue was created in 1996 by the Franconian sculptor Theophil Steinbrenner. It depicts the "Charity Walk" of the "three wandering children," which symbolizes the Latsch-ins.
