    The end of the ascent to Sarnia Skała is a bit demanding, but you are in high mountains - you don't have to be a climber to get here, and the views are simply magnificent. A beautiful panorama of Podhale and a view of the northern face of Giewont.

          The Sarnia Skala is a mountain that every visitor to Zakopane should climb. The route to the summit leads from Zakopane along a beautiful mountain stream on both the outward and return journeys. With a bit of stamina, the climb to the summit is easily manageable. Only the last few meters are a bit challenging. From the top, you have a fantastic view of the mountains and Zakopane below.

            We hiked up here with our two boys. It's about 500 meters of elevation gain from the entrance to the national park to Sarnia Skala, where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Giewont and the other mountains of the High Tatras. The last section is quite challenging and alpine, but doable without any special equipment.
