It connected the market town of Uehlfeld in the Bavarian administrative district of Middle Franconia with Neustadt an der Aisch on the main line from Fürth to Würzburg.
The rails have now been dismantled and the trains have been replaced by buses from Neustadt station to Uehlfeld and back. Today, the Aisch Valley Cycle Path runs along parts of the old route.
