    An excellent museum that provides a fascinating insight into the history of peat extraction. The adjacent grounds also feature a settler's farmstead from that era and a variety of tools. The museum's moorland area is easily explored on foot (approx. 3 km).

          The museum is open from March 1st to October 31st for the 2019 season.

          Museum

          Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and by appointment.

          (Closed Mondays, except on public holidays)

          The café is also highly recommended:

          Museum Café

          From March 1st to March 31st, Saturdays and Sundays, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. From April 1st, daily except Mondays, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
