Around 200 years ago, the citizens of Flacht were still doing forced labor in the "Kronwald Hagenschieß". With the liberation of peasants in Württemberg, however, this practice came to an end. The Flacht farmers were freed from their forced labor in the forest, but also from their timber claims. The contract of 1841 shows that at that time 127 farm owners in Flacht received 12 hectares of forest for free ownership. This contract secured the Flachterns their building and firewood needs in front of their own front door. The Justice Forest Flacht still exists today and is marked by signs and boundary stones. You can find our Justice Forest when you leave Flacht in the direction of Mönsheim. It runs parallel to the Postweg, which is located near the Flachter Waldhütte. The original ownership relationship still exists today and is firmly tied to the house and property conditions measured at that time. This ensures that the Forest of Justice always remains in Flachter's hands. In order to regulate the rights and obligations arising from this property, the Justice Forest Flacht was notarized in 1988 to have the legal form of a partnership under civil law, which is still valid today.
