Strahinjčica rises steeply above Krapina (176 m) like a huge and sharply sloping roof over the surroundings and gives the whole area a special look. The sides of the ridge are almost vertical, covered with dense forest: oak predominates on the south side, and beech with low shrubs on the north side.
The flora of Strahinjčica is very rich, about 1000 different species of higher plants have been identified (Ljerka Regula - Bevilacqua, PhD).
High cliffs (Jelenske pećine) and stone pillars protrude from the ridge here and there, giving the steep mountain an alpine look. The mountain has distinct features of high mountains - a steep slope and deeply cut ravines and gorges that lead to its base in several branches.
