Broad land.
That's what it must have looked like back then in the Wild West.
Anyway, at the next bend I'm waiting to meet a horse-drawn cart with a squeaky wobbly tooth. 😉
For some, this may just look like a barren steppe. He's not entirely wrong either, the Hortobágy is one of the largest steppe landscapes in Europe.
But for the huntsman and nature lover this is a paradise.
In addition to the well-known longhorn cattle, there are also many wild animals and even eagles.
Unfortunately I don't get to see any of these majestic animals.
But I don't want to complain.
I count several hares, at least forty deer, a mouse, dozens of sparrows and tits, a stork that must have missed the southbound migration, many gray herons, several geese fly in formation over me and I scare at least 30 magnificent pheasants out of the grass .
There are countless different plants.
It must be beautiful in spring. But this cold season also appeals to me, because this is how you experience nature in its purest form and for yourself. Alone, only the guest and the steppe. This silence is wonderful. 🤗
