The Croscat volcano and its clay pots are one of the jewels of the La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. It is the second largest volcano in the Iberian Peninsula, and its last eruption was 11,500 years ago.

This ancient volcano has been excavated for minerals for years until it was halted following protests. Now you can see a beautiful cross section of the volcano and all the layers in it.
I believe the information center is open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., there are texts in other languages according to the sign. I was there too early.
