The village adventure path Dollbergen was opened on May 10, 2009.
Dollbergen took part in the village adventure path at the project "Gartenregion Hannover".
What is so special about this place, that you had to create an extra info-pad? The answer: Actually nothing.
It is a normal village in Lower Saxony. A few old farmhouses, gardens, development areas and lots of nature around it. And that is exactly what the working group wants to show the visitors of the path: A typical village, with its history, its gardens, the development from the farming village to the industrial site and preferred rural residential area near the city - and a great natural landscape at the edge of the village.
Theme of the path
How do people live here today, how did they live here in former times, what mistakes were made in the past and what does the future look like? What role does the nearby river, the Fuhse, play in these considerations? Was he the reason for settling in this spot? What were the consequences of human intervention in nature? Because even in the landscape there have been drastic changes in the past, through river straightening and cultural creation, through building, mining of natural resources, clearing and agriculture. What effects did the industrialization and the connection to the railway line Hanover / Wolfsburg have? All this and much more can be discovered on the tour through the village.
