The Lion Mountain hike was tough. So much variety in under 5km.
-> Plantation
-> Ascent on impassable, almost non-existent paths in the thickets and in streams, with the potential of wanting to break off the tour
-> Facilitation to stop on a wider path
-> Summit with reward (view)
-> back through wild (bamboo?) shrubs
-> increasingly more mosquitoes to a lot of mosquitoes, depending on your skin type you are bitten closely and the buzz of them takes a toll on your psyche. There is no quick escape: the downhill route is steep and slippery
-> get out of the mosquito forest when you think it's over, there comes a rock. You look for the way around the rock. Nobody there. Stubborn, painted arrows point the way up the rock, according to the motto, dare. You don't want to believe it. But that's how it is and you have to go through it. Behind the rock, the curved tree that appears in all tour photos. Now you know why.
P.S. You arrive at the local parking lot at 4:30 p.m. and it is locked with a solid chain. 'Parking lot closes at 4 p.m.' - you'll only see the sign now 😅😂🤣
