Hohen Genkingen Castle, also called Genkingen Castle, used to stand here. However, you need a lot of imagination to be able to imagine what it looked like.
Today there are only a few stones left that you would not assign to a castle as an ordinary tourist. But still a beautiful piece of nature where you can let your imagination run wild.
The last 500m of the trail are just a hiking trail. We parked our bikes after a little more than half and continued on foot.

The terrain leading to the Ruins of Hohengenkingen is primarily forested paths. While the overall area is suitable for hiking and cycling, the final 500 meters to the actual castle site become a dedicated hiking trail, which can be uneven and rocky. Where can I park when visiting the Ruins of Hohengenkingen?

Specific parking information can often be found on local tourism websites or by checking route details before your visit.
