The Amerongse Berg was created when moraines formed during the ice age, about 150,000 years ago. From the mountain there are a number of nice viewpoints. So bring binoculars! And then simply enjoy the Amerong forest, one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands.

Not spectacular as a mountain and hardly recognizable as the highest elevation, but thanks to the beautiful forest it is a worthwhile destination.
