The Planet Trail promises a truly astronomical stroll: Approximately 7 km long, it begins at the sun's location north of Favorite Park on Seeschlossallee, not far from the Favorite Park S-Bahn station. The trail continues north past Monrepos Palace to Wilhelmshof, through Brandholz to the southern edge of the Bietigheim Forest. From this location, the S-Bahn station in Bietigheim-Bissingen is about 2 km away. At the start and end of the trail, as well as at the roundabout in front of Monrepos Palace, there are additional general information panels about the Planet Trail itself and its route.

The Planet Path of the Green Neighborhood is a planet path that leads from the northern outskirts of Ludwigsburg to the Bietigheim Forest. It represents the solar system on a scale of 1:109. One meter of distance along the planetary path therefore corresponds to 1 million km in reality.
