The Sint-Jozefkapel is located on the corner of Kruisstraat and Wellingstraat in Heusden and is, as the name suggests, dedicated to Saint Joseph. It replaces the former chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross.
The chapel dates from 1888 and originally stood on the Molenhoek, but was demolished in 1989 due to the dangerous traffic situation and rebuilt by the municipality at its current location.
The current statue of Saint Joseph with child replaces the previously stolen statue and comes from the former Christ the King Church in Wetteren.

The Saint Joseph Chapel on the corner of Wellingstraat and Kruisstraat was inaugurated on Friday 25 November 1994, replacing the old Saint Joseph Chapel that stood at the intersection of Steenvoordestraat and Kruisstraat until 1989 and was 125 years old.
Previously, a Calvary Chapel stood at this intersection in the middle of the street.
The new chapel was built by municipal staff and a substantial contribution was made to the new Saint Joseph statue by the De Clercq family who live next door.
