      With the redesign of the Jüdenstrasse, this fountain was commissioned from an Aachen artist in 2000. Its presentation is based on the history of the city.

      Ducal couple: between 1656 and 1746 Weißenfels was the seat of the Sekundogenitur Sachsen-Weißenfels
      Palme: Duke August and his son Johann Adolph I were chairmen of the Order of the Palms, a brotherhood that was committed to the purity of the German language from foreign influences
      Musicians: Bach (with the hunting horn) and Schütz (on the chembalo) represent around thirty musicians and composers who worked in the city
      Blue Flower: Novalis (Georg Friedrich Philipp Freiherr von Hardenberg) was chosen to represent about forty-five writers; he was the founder of the "Blue Flower" of literature
      Cobbler's seamstress and fairy tale: stand for many centuries of the city's shoemaking tradition in history and the recent past
      Plants: regional plants such as the lime tree (justice), oak (the tree of the Germans), dog rose, vines and cabbage are a guarantee for the agricultural use of the region

      A special feature of the fountain is that the figures are movable.

                Weißenfels also has one of these typical fountains by Bonifatius Stirnberg with the moving figures. His first work, the Puppenbrunnen in Aachen, still sets the standard today. The town fountain in Weißenfels was inaugurated in 2000 and refers to the town's history:
                - the ducal couple in a baroque wardrobe to commemorate the secondary duchy of Saxony-Weißenfels (1656-1746)
                - the palm tree as a symbol of the Fruiting Society of the Order of the Palms for the Promotion of the German Language, of which two of the dukes were the presidents
                - Johann Sebastian Bach (with the hunting horn) and Heinrich Schütz (on the harpsichord) as the two most important composers associated with Weißenfels
                - the blue flower, a romantic symbol from Novalis' literature (G. Ph. Friedrich Freiherr von Hardenberg)
                - Cobbler and quilting machine for the long tradition of shoe manufacture
                - Plants typical of the region: linden, oak, dog rose, vine and cabbage
