Beuron Abbey lies in the valley of the early Danube in southwest Germany. The first monastery was founded here 900 years ago. Since the end of the 19th century, the present-day Benedictine abbey has been instrumental in the renewal of monastic culture in German-speaking countries. To this day, the Beuron Benedictines strive to shape their daily life in the spirit of the monastic rule of Saint Benedict.
