At least 21,000 cormorants were shot in Germany in the 2019/2020 hunting season.
Scientific studies do not show any economic damage to fishing on lakes, rivers and the coast.
Exception: intensive pond farming for fish farming.

The Bülker lighthouse stands on the extreme eastern headland on the north side of the Kiel Fjord, in the Strande district. The lighthouse, built in 1807, is the oldest on the fjord and serves as an orientation light for the access to the fjord 🌊...
